Discovering old dusty books piled high on shelves and long forgotten for their beautiful covers is what got this business started in early 2008.

Sometimes a book is best left to be read for years to come, but the books we have discovered appeared desperate to be rescued, shared & enjoyed for their beauty.

We love reaching for a book on the shelf, bringing it down to feel the history in our hands, appreciating the time taken by the author and illustrators and respect them all. Being a passionate reader, collector of vintage children’s books and a having a love of handmade items, it was inevitable that these go together to start this business.

We do not usually support the destruction of books, but could not resist giving these books a new life. We know it’s all about nostalgia and keeping print for those to enjoy in years to come, but the front cover, illustrations and history markings seemed more exciting to keep than the written content.

Don’t fret you book lovers; there are certain books we would never touch and find disrespectful to do so. These are the classics such as A.A Milne (Winnie the Pooh),
P.L Travers (Mary Poppins) E.B White (Charlottes Web), and rare collectable editions.
